    Your chicken wasn't cooked completely. I can see the blood in the juices
    If you put the butter under the skin, you don't have to baste. Every time you open the lid, you lose a ton of heat and smoke. When smoking you shouldn't have to open your grill/smoker unless you're doing an all day smoke where you need to add more coals and wood. Even then 1 time should be enough. You shouldn't be advising others what to do until you learn the proper techniques
