Turn the Grill Grates over and sear your meat on the back side. You will get a much better crust on your burger, than on cast iron. Just my 2 cents ?
Do you ever have the diffuser plate in the Yoder with this Weber griddle on? If so, what temps are you setting it at? If you’re using direct, do you need to keep temps at a certain range? Thanks Tom!
Looks good my brother
Just a quick question on the 640. Do you know how well it preforms in sub zero temps. I live in Canada but love cooking all year round. Including winter.
What's the model number of the griddle? I have a similar weber griddle, it's porcelain coated. Easy care and maintenance. But careful on using a hard scraper on it.
Hi Tom! Quick question. I have both the cast iron weber griddle and wok from the weber 'gourmet' accessory line. The box says they are porcelaine coated, but the surface is very rough, almost scratching paper like. I cooked with both, and burned food tends to stick quickly, forming sticky black residu on the cast iron. Very hard to clean, only cleanable with the abbrasive side of my sponge (which weber is advising against), and even then some black marks are still impossible to clean, even with hard scrubbing. What am I doing wrong? Maybe I should've had seasoned the iron before use? But the Weber manual doesnt say anything about that, and is even advising not to use oil directly on the hot griddle/wok… Would love a tip from a bbq master like you! 🙂 thanks in advance!
Every single time I see one of these videos with a Yoder pellet grill…I cry a little. ? I was actually telling someone today…..if I ever could afford it, I'd have one!
Can I get the same results with a cast iron pan on my electric stove?
How about showing how you take care of your cast iron anything, grill grates and regular grates?
I'm fixing to pull the trigger on the ys640. I've only owned one pellet smoker and that was a Traeger and I hated the clean up after each cook. I wonder if the yoder 640 is easier to clean up
This is a really great tip/hack to help add more cooking variety. Thanks for the Tip man. Keep crushin it.
Can you get the YS640 in Germany?
