Do you ever have the diffuser plate in the Yoder with this Weber griddle on? If so, what temps are you setting it at? If you’re using direct, do you need to keep temps at a certain range? Thanks Tom!

Hi Tom! Quick question. I have both the cast iron weber griddle and wok from the weber 'gourmet' accessory line. The box says they are porcelaine coated, but the surface is very rough, almost scratching paper like. I cooked with both, and burned food tends to stick quickly, forming sticky black residu on the cast iron. Very hard to clean, only cleanable with the abbrasive side of my sponge (which weber is advising against), and even then some black marks are still impossible to clean, even with hard scrubbing. What am I doing wrong? Maybe I should've had seasoned the iron before use? But the Weber manual doesnt say anything about that, and is even advising not to use oil directly on the hot griddle/wok… Would love a tip from a bbq master like you! 🙂 thanks in advance!

I'm fixing to pull the trigger on the ys640. I've only owned one pellet smoker and that was a Traeger and I hated the clean up after each cook. I wonder if the yoder 640 is easier to clean up
