    YES. A little seasoning is good enough for me. Reminds me of Costco injects / brines their rotisserie chickens. It's just awful imo. Mushy and slimy, not to mention it makes me run 2 or 3 times to the toilet after consuming it.

    Instead of foiling in foil, use a half lasagna pan and add 1 1/2 cups of Vernors ginger ale. Foil the top of the pan and back in to the smoker or you can finish in the oven as heat is heat. Bring it to 205° and put all of the juices from the pan in a fat separator. Save the "liquid gold" to add back in to the pulled pork along with some rub. Dump the fat from the fat separator in your neighbors yard, then mix it up and enjoy.

    I enjoy your videos and commentary I lol when you said throw it in the neighbors yard? those are some good looking pork butts. I heard if you put too much injection the meat will be mushy

    my best butts have been the butts that i injected, i feel as if it gave it more flavor. but this may just vary from person to person, as we all have different  tastes. Ill keep injecting, unless I'm feeling lazy. I like the idea of adding rub once its pulled, i usually forget that part.

    Mr. Wolf as a subscriber and watcher for many years this sounded gay. All this talk about butts,injecting your butt and letting a group of men aka judges taste your meat. Sounded to gayI know you were going for butt humor how about injecting the pork king spam. I have turned so many friends of mine to your dollar store thanksgiving meal. Turkey spam and the fixings .

    I have to wonder if it’s possible if maybe the injected butt was done cooking at a lower temperature than the non injected one? I have never taken an injected butt that much over 200. Mine are typically done around 198.

    You may get different results by doing a competition trim of the butt. I'm a master judge and competition cooker. The trim makes a lot of difference. More bark, less fat, less mess, never greasy.
