9:14pm – Rolling through September, we welcome in the 2nd Tuesday of the month regular guest and BBQ Hall of Fame’er, Meathead from Amazingribs.com. Tonight we cover a BBQ myth to see if it is true or not. Have you ever heard someone say “If you’re looking, you’re not cooking”? Tonight we go through what that really means and if it hold true! If you are new to BBQ, you will want to listen to this segment!

9:35pm – After Meathead, I will be joined by the Southern Living Magazine BBQ editor and the writer of the Cue Sheet, Robert Moss. It has been a few months since Robert was on the show, I had an issue a few months back and then he was traveling quite a bit last month so I am happy we are able to play so catch up in September! Do I hear a Top 50 BBQ list coming soon??? YES!!!

10:14pm – Opening the 2nd hour is one of the people I go to when I need to get the REAL information on commodities status in the industry. No one does it better or has more experience than my friend, Tim Mikeska! One of the topics that has been talked about for the last 6 weeks or so has been what BBQ restaurants are charging for brisket…some at $35/lb or more. Tim will tell us where pricing is present day for both brisket and pork and then we will discuss where the consumer will decide “enough is enough” when it comes to brisket price. There is also a potential development with a group of Texas cattlemen getting together to challenge the “Big 4” and disrupt the pricing that has been seen as a bit of a “fix”.

10:35pm – Closing the show tonight is the creator of one of my favorite new BBQ/Grilling websites (Cookout News) Wes Wright. Wes was on for the first time a few months ago, and tonight, we talk about some new stories he has been covering that will certainly be of interest you you! Topics include the continued expansion of the full sized electric grill market, Blackstone looking to make fire pits and Solo Stove making a personal smores machine?
