Texas Style Brisket Recipe

Chef Tom tackles another brisket, Texas style. Instead of trimming out the point and flat and cooking them separate, we cook the full packer brisket and instead of foil we use butcher paper to wrap the brisket to help retain moisture and maintain our color.

13 hours and you haven't even let the meat rest. You're going to be to falling asleep by the time it's ready to be eaten. What's the point????????

Apart from that, a brisket that size would cost me almost $100 or maybe even more.

I'm still wondering what was coming from Texas in this "Texas style brisket"? No real Texas seasoning of just salt and pepper. Furthermore, flat being cut with the grain instead of against the grain. Sorry but it does not deserve the name Texas style brisket.

What a awesome way to show and let people see what it takes to put out top notch quality brisket. I love the Yoder brand and they seem to stand up well to time and usage . I think it would have been better if you would have talked a lil more about the Cooker . The fact it had a log lighter and you did not use it is kinda crazy , But that's just the Texas Boy in me . Did you have a convection plate in place when running that cooker ? Final statement . Great video and it seems you have the Heart of a Teacher . Thanks for showing people how to make Texas style Brisket .

“Now on Texas Style brisket you would just season with salt and pepper, but let’s face it we’re not here to be authentic we’re here to sell you premade rubs from atbbq.com so we’re going to go with the R BUTTS R SMOKIN R BEEF RUB ™”
