What you will need to make this Smoked Spare Ribs Recipe is:

1 or more Racks of Spare Ribs
Yellow Mustard
BBQ Rib Rub
1 cup Apple juice
1 tbs Apple Cider Vinager
Aluminium Foil

Smoked Spare Ribs Step #1
First, you will need to prepare the ribs by removing the membrane that is attached to the bottom section. Use a butter knife to lift it then grab it with some paper towel to fully remove it.

Smoked Spare Ribs Step #2
After the membrane is removed, apply a thin layer of yellow mustard. This acts as a glue for your rub as well as it will add some nice color during the cook. After the mustard apply your rib rub and let sit for 3 hours in the fridge.

Smoked Spare Ribs Step #3
Set up your grill for indirect cooking between 250-275. Place your ribs opposite the coals and add some hardwood of your choice. We used Applewood on this cook. Close the lid and begin cooking for 2 hours 45 minutes.

Smoked Spare Ribs Step #4
At 1.5 hours into this cook, open up the lid and quickly mop on some of your apple juice/cider mixture. This will help keep them moist throughout the cook.

Smoked Spare Ribs Step #5
After 2 hours 45 mintues, your ribs are ready to be placed in a foil wrap. In your wrap put in some butter, brown sugar, honey and a little bit of your apple juice mixture then wrap it up tight with the meat facing down. Cook in foil wrap for 1 hour.

Smoked Spare Ribs Step #6
After 1 hour cooking in the foil, remove the ribs and place them back on the grill indirect for an additional 20 minutes. Also, this is when you will apply some BBQ Sauce to let it caramelize.

Smoked Spare Ribs Step #7
Lastly after about 4 hours total time your ribs should be done and ready to slice. Slice into singles and begin to feast.

Enjoy!

Napoleon Kettle Grill – http://amzn.to/1pLiViR

Applewood Chunks – http://amzn.to/1ZLxrnz

Weber Chimney Starter – http://amzn.to/1Wf21FP

What you will need to make this Easy Kansas City Spare Ribs Recipe is:

2 Racks of Spare Ribs
Rib Rub – Use your favourite.
Apple Juice
Boiling Water

To make these incredible Kansas City Ribs you will start out by rinsing both racks of ribs. Once rinsed make sure to dry off with paper towel. Next flip over the ribs which reveals the tough membrane which you will remove by wedging a butter knife underneath then pulling away. Grab your favourite Rib rub (preferably something a little more sweet) then liberally apply it to both sides. After your ribs have been rubbed, place some plastic wrap over the ribs and place them in the fridge for 3 hours.

After 3 hours remove the ribs from the fridge and let them rest for 30 minutes at room tempreture before you place them on the grill using the indirect method. Begin cooking for around 5 hours at 250 degrees.

After 45 minutes apply a coat of apple juice to the ribs and repeat this step every 45 minutes until finished.

After around 5 hours you ribs will be done and you can now apply your final Kansas style BBQ Sauce and continue to cook another 15 minutes so that the sauce caramelizes.

After 15 minutes, remove from heat and let rest 5 -7 minutes, slice between the bones and enjoy. You should now be eating some incredible Kansas City Style Ribs!

Enjoy.

INGREDIENTS THAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS COOK:

2 racks of back ribs
Cooking Oil
BBQ Rub – http://amzn.to/2z67pTV

***HOW TO SMOKE RIBS ON THE GRILL***

Step #1
First you will need to prepare your Loin Back Ribs beginning by removing the membrane on the back of the ribs.. Once that’s done you will then apply some oil to act as a binder. Once the oil is on liberally coat your ribs with your favourite BBQ Rub and then let it rest int he fridge for about 2-4 hours while you set up your Slow N Sear for cooking between 225-250 degrees.

Step #2
Once your grill is between 225-250 degrees you will place your ribs onto the cool side of the grill. Add your favourite hardwood to the Slow N Sear for some added smoke flavour and begin cooking for 2 hours (total time should be around 4.5 – 5 hours)

Step #3
After 2 hours of cooking, you are going to open the grill and apply a mop or spritz of 2 parts apple juice and 1 part apple cider vinegar. You will repeat this again at hour 3.

Step #4
After about 4 hours your ribs are going to be getting close so you will want to check them by doing the bend test or pulling the bones to see how much movement there is. For ours at 4 hours these ribs were almost done. At this point (or 30 minutes out) apply your Sauce and let cook for the final 30 minutes. This will allow the sauce to set and give a real nice flavour. After all this is done your ribs should be done and ready to sliced, feast and enjoy!

That’s it, Enjoy.
