Larry, if you scorch the outsides of the peppers with a propane torch and remove the charred skins, they are lot more tender.
This looks amazing!! Something I want to try, but in my crock pot!!!
Those look great Larry!!! Great twist on stuffed bell peppers..Count me in on a plate of that..
Imma try this next week!
You Sir are the shit! In a good way 🙂
Will try this. Cept we like our peppers somewhat firm a slight crisp. Will cook slightly different and add jalapeño into the mix
Larry… May I call you Larry? Are you /trying/ to kill me! Here I am, 2:47AM, too drunk to get to Waffle House w/out killing myself, and you show me /this/! It's not fair, dude! It's not fair! ~_~;; Going to try this forthwith!
Well, I have some left over pulled pork. I'm gonna give this one a shot. Guess I better hurry up and do it before i have too many pops this afternoon…LOL. Thanks for the idea, Larry!
Hey Mr.Wolfepit…another great recipe, however, I don't eat pork… are there any other proteins I can use? …thanks
Larry these look great, LOVE stuffed peppers. And with pulled pork, great use of leftovers!
Great idea for the left over pulled pork and stuffed peppers are awesome..awesome job brother Larry.
Looks good, Larry!
Wolfie, have you ever spatchcocked a chicken on the Napoleon? I keep getting flare-ups. I'm doing two right now. Ya, my "sauce" is dry rub in melted butter, which is the ultimate for flare-ups, but you'd think I'd have better control over this stuff. Any insight?
Ummmm OK Larry….I'm curious what your favorite Sauce is? You can't leave me hang n' like that bro 🙂 Your food always looks good!!
great recipe, thanks for sharing
Been eating stuffed Bell Peppers since the late 1960's and these look like another nice recipe to have. There are so many different ways to make stuffed peppers you want to try them all. Thanks Larry.
And Larry if you have any leftovers you can turn it into Stuffed Pepper Soup!!! It is always a best seller where ever I used to work and was one of my signature dishes that drew in the customers …
Great idea, Larry…
Those peppers look fantastic!
mm-mmm! one of my favorite recipes is stuffed peppers, but I've never seen 'em made this way . . . thanks, Larry 🙂
Good for you! Thumbs up as always, your rain-soaked buddy, Norfolk Joe 😉
PS better "rain-soaked" than "snow-socked", right? <lol>
This looks worth making even if you don't have any leftover pulled pork.
What a great idea! I have smoked pulled pork in my freezer from this Summer. I've made nachos & pizza but love this! The addition of the apples is an interesting twist. Nicely done!
Looks delicious Larry! I love how you used the stuffing for the base too. Will make this next time I have leftovers of any braised meat. Thank you 🙂
Looks Damn Great Larry. ROCK ON!!!!!!
What a great idea. Love it Larry – I have left over pulled pork in the freezer – I'm going to try this 🙂
na this is different but looks good
Nice looking peppers!
I love me some stuffed peppers. This recipe rocks. MMMM,,, beans! Yummy
That looks awesome Larry !!!
Not bad old chap! I may just steal that recipe…but then I may charged with larceny and may have to defend myself…or worse, perhaps prosecute myself…dang! I'm not sure how that would work out to our mutual benefit…. either way!
And what, pray tell, is your favorite BBQ sauce ATM? If you're like me it can vary from time to time, year to year, moment to moment…if I'm out of my fave sauce then whatever I have or make becomes my fave at the time 😉
Cheers!
Now there is anidea waiting to happen in a kitchen near me!!! Looks scrumptious!!!
looks good from here! cheers man !
like the pulled pork, cheese and the rice, but tomato sauce would have been better in addition to slightly browned onions and garlic
Hey Larry are you selling your own seasoning rub? If so I want to try where can I buy it?
This looks delish!!!
Nice
Finally someone who does the stuffed peppers correctly. I have had chefs blow a gasket on me for sending stuffed peppers back because they were a mess and weren't cut correctly. Lol
Yummy! yeah !you're right pork n apple is great I have to make that receipe for Christmas for sure I know that my grandchildren will eat only the stuffing but is OK .thanks
What a great way to use your leftover pulled pork… Great Larry! 🙂
Stuffed peppers is a great easy to use leftovers! Nice job Larry!
I'm coming over!
Larry, those peppers are stuffed to the gills with strictly the most delicious ingredients I can imagine! It's another one of those cases of "what's not to love?" If I sat down to a dinner of these babies, I'd magically transform them from stuffed peppers into stuffed Juanelo. They're terrific! Great job!
Larry, Yummy!
We usually use ground meat so really like the Pulled Pork spin on this Larry!
HOT DAMN! I will give those a try next time I make pulled pork.
Yum, yes please!
forgive me please but why the apple??
