HOW TO COOK RIBS ON THE GRILL
______________________________________________________________
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
– 1 rack of st.louis style ribs
– Hot sauce
– Postal Barbecue “ORIGINAL” BBQ Rub
STEP #1
To prepare your ribs for smoking, first of all you will need to trim up any of the remaining fat aswell as remove the membrane from the back side. The easiest way to do this is to take a butter knife and pry it under the membrane then use your thumb to get under it, then pull up and rip off. Next, apply your hot sauce (or oil, mustard etc.) as a binder followed by your favourite rib rub. Today I am using my ORIGINAL Postal Barbecue rub.
SETP #2
With your ribs all prepared, set up your grill for cooking indirect at 250F. Once the grill is up to temperature place your ribs onto the grill opposite the coals. Also, add in some applewood chips/chunks to give some nice smoky flavour. With everything in your grill, close the lid and begin cooking.
STEP #3
After a few hours, open up the grill and rotate the ribs. Also at this point spritz the ribs with water or a liquid of your choice. Pritz every 1.5 hours or as needed.
STEP #4
After around 4-4.5 hours your ribs should be getting near the finish.. Once you have them to your desired tenderness apply some BBQ sauce being careful not to ruin your bark. Once they have been sauced, close the lid again and let them cook for another 10 minutes to allow the sauce to set up. Once the sauce is set, remove them from the grill and enjoy your Smoked Ribs!
That’s it..

That Postal Bbq rub on ribs is very good! We have tried it. Awesome. This recipe was great. Simple and well explained. Great cook Jabin.
Dude, thanks so much for the tips! Your video is one of very few that will give you temps and timing – truly helpful!! As a comment, it'd be nice if you can make a series of "basic" videos in which you explain grilling with different types of meats with basic recepies and ingredients/utensils everyone has at home ( just like this one!!). Just a suggestion. Congrats on the vid, and thanks for taking the time to put it together for us, the beginners.
Bro, that membrane technique was ACE! I'm definitely going to start doing it that way. It was so much easier!
Why wouldn't you spritz it with apple juice? Same results as water but added delicious flavor. No foil wrap cooking for an hour either?
Also, "St. Louie" was pretty funny pronunciation.
Enjoyed your video my friend. A;ways enjoy learning new processes. #VRA
…have a nice Thanksgiving Jabin……ww….
Great looking ribs! Never thought about doing ribs on the Jumbo Joe! I am not a sauce guy, just like to let the rub come through! Cheers Jabin!
Great looking ribs brother!
Oh my word. My mouth watered the entire time. God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving my friend!?????
I have a 22 inch Jumbo Joe – would I be able to get away with doing a snake method cook for ribs or a pork butt??
Jabin. This is your son Aaron. You need to formally adopt me so we can eat together
Oh wow, amazing cook, but the best part was finding out that SNS make a Baby Drip Pan for the Joe!
Nice ribs Jabin ! Been a while since i have seen you use JJ.In the Mid West we typically sauce our ribs but i won't turn down a good Memphis style dry rib either !!! Great video !
Wow these ribs look so dynamite!! Amazing, I'm so ready to get back to the grill ??❤️ Come by and say hello one of these days, we'd love to show you our latest ?❤️
Thanks Jabin. I also love my Jumbo Joe. I’ll give this recipe a try come next BBQ season. I might need to use a milder hot sauce that what’s in my cupboard though. Ghost Pepper sauce might be a bit much.?????
Postal BBQ, where the food is straight fire, but the bills are just straight.
that looks so good bro
