Smoked Pork Roast in the Pit Boss Pellet Smoker

Smoked Pork Roast in the Pit Boss Pellet Smoker

The pork collar may be the king of all smoked pork roasts. I was really impressed with how this turned out in the Pit Boss Pellet Smoker. Great smoke flavor and very juicy.

I bought this pork collar roast from Snake River Farms and while it was expensive, it was totally worth it. All I had to do was trim a little bit of fat, season it with BBQ rub, and put it in the smoker.

The temperature of the Pit Boss Pellet Smoker today is 250 degrees F and it took approx. 6 hours to cook.

Finish cooking temp on the smoked pork roast was 195 degrees F.

I prefer to slice the pork collar into thick cuts instead of shredding it or pulling it.

Enjoy

I think you need to spray that door with some Awesome, available at Lowes. and wipe it down with paper towels. Darn nice smoke ring. Considering no water in the pan it was really juicy and not dry.
