HOW TO MAKE MEATBALLS ON THE BBQ
______________________________________________________________

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
– 2 lbs Ground Beef (80/20 preferred)
– 1 lb Italian Sausage
– 2 Eggs
– 3/4 cup bread crumbs
– 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
– A handful of chopped basil
– 1/2 tbs Dry Oregano
– 1 tbs black pepper
– 1/2 tbs onion powder
– 1/2 tbs garlic powder
1/2 tbs Kosher Salt
– 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce

– BBQ Rub to season outside

TOPPINGS:
– provalone cheese
– Maranara Sauce
– Shredded Parmasan Cheese

STEP #1
Prepare your meatballs first by mixing together all your ingredients well above. Once mixed together, begin to form your meat mixture into golfball sized meatballs. With your meatballs formed, apply a light coating of BBQ rub (beef rub preferred) to the outside of the meatballs. Once that’s done, prepare your grill for cooking indirect at 275F.

SETP #2
With your grill up to temperature, place your meatballs onto the grill and begin cooking them with a few chunks of hickory or wood of your choice to add that smoky flavour.

STEP #3
After about 40-45 minutes our meatballs had reached an internal temperature of 165F so we pulled them off the grill to begin to build out meatball sandwiches.

Step #4
To build your sandwich first of all toast your bun. After your bun is toasted, play down a few slices of provalone cheese, then your meatballs, your hot marinara sauce, and lastly a generous amount of parmesan cheese. With your meatball sub all put together, place them back onto the grill for 3-4 minutes to melt the parmesan cheese. Once its slightly melted, remove it from the grill and dig in!

That’s it!
