That mash looks gummy 😐
I stopped when the peas dropped!
uh oh, glasses :D. Great vids btw.
Substitute corn for peas.. peas are pigs food
Damn, Tom is as yummy as the food he makes.
Wow. Someone that's not a complete idiot. No lamb means it's not a shepherd's pie.
Wassup chuck
Argentinian asado
You need to send that electric masher back to hell. It makes your mash glupy and sloppy. It completely over words them. A good ricer is all you need.
Holy cow. All your videos are great. I have to try this. Makes it look so easy. Thanks chef Tom.
is it always the same 2 people who dislike your videos. keep up the great work. I am going to try this recipe for sure. Is there any substitute I wonder for this tri tip spice. I live in Canada and while I'm sure there is something similar I haven't seen anything myself. I'll check online.
Love your channel!!!
Great video Chef Tom! Love all of your videos–very informative but not drawn out. You teach technique very well, without it seeming like a class.
I'm trying this tomorrow, but with leftover pulled pork. Curious to try leaks–I must admit that I have never cooked with them!
What kind of hand blender is that?
Damn that looked good!! Bookmarked this one
really liked this. I did it but I added some mushrooms and a bit of gravy so it was a little wetter. great videos.
That is beautiful. Thank you
Looks amazing but I think using the burr blender on the potatoes was a misstep. Over mixing mash potatoes can make them gummy and yours do look it a bit. Please don't take this the wrong way, I love your channel and think you are a fantastic chef! Your knowledge and talent when preparing and smoking proteins is unparalleled and inspires me to up my meat game! From one chef to another, keep doing what you do!
What would happen if you put some of the leftover juices from the roast in the mashed potatoes? It seems like it would be a good idea
Tom, WWWWWOOOOOWWWWW.
Just made this today and am eating it right now! Another killer recipe! Thanks
what temperature did you smoke this at? Thanks ahead of time!
I would like to see ideas for sides, I smoke so much meet but never have home made sides.
Tom, this is great. I love the attention to detail man.
sloppy joes!
another great recipe and great video as always
do you use "prime" or "choice"
beef?
Awesome twist on Shepards pie. Well done
Tom, it is always a pleasure to see you cook and I learn something interesting in every video. Keep up the great work!
Best channel for smoking recipes
Good evening, Chef Tom! Just received my new Yoder YS640 today and doing to initial burn in. I can't wait to get a cook going on it.
I would be interested in seeing some smoked spatchcock chickens or half chickens. We also have Thanksgiving right around the corner and smoked whole turkeys would be sweet too! Thanks for the videos!
As an Irish man I'm offended with millk being added it should be butter only. As. Ma says there should be just enough potatoes to stop the butter setting
What flavor wood pellets do you use on your cooks? Do you always use the same one(s) or do you mix it up?
Looks awesome (as always) I guess you could use a dutch oven instead of the pan?!
Or do you think the meal would lose smoke flavors?
In return the mashed potatos get colored properly. (with charcoals on top)
Please keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Greetings from Germany
Are you guys going to do a turkey for Thanksgiving? Preferably before hand so I can watch your video and duplicate it. Would be much appreciated. You guys are the best!
becoming a fan of using my cast iron again! now hungry!
Shepherd's Pie is lamb, cottage pie is beef (at least in UK tradition)
Awesome recipe again Tom!
