Red, White & Que Episode 3: Strawberry Shortcake Cobbler




In this episode of “Red, White & Que,” Chef Britt whips up a Strawberry Shortcake Cobbler made with berries gathered at Sweet Berries & Brambles in Harper, KS. It’s easy to make AND it’s the perfect recipe for your Fourth of July BBQ!

They meet the vendors who produce the ingredients they need and then make their recipes in the ATBBQ teaching kitchen.

    This recipe looks divine!! If you wanted to have these biscuits with eggs and such, I know you would skip the powdered sugar step, but would you keep the biscuit recipe the same? Thanks for sharing such an amazing dessert!

    Wish we could post photos. Just made it and it was a home run. New favorite in this house. We even had some dough left over and made some extra biscuits that were amazing. This one’s a keeper. Great with a little vanilla ice cream.

    For any dough that has flour being massaged into butter chunks I like to use the pro method. Freeze the butter solid and grate it on a box grater to get uniform sized pieces with lots of surface area for the flour to adhere to.

    I am in AZ so it is also necessary to freeze so the butter does not fully melt before I finish the dough.
