Thanks for a great video. I just got the RT 300 but the video they recommended was for a much bigger grill with much more work to build. So glad you showed me the way forward. NOW I can unbox without fear of a whole afternoon of construction.
I just got one today. In the last part of the video what is the extension cord for when it is stored with the cover? Do you have a light in there to keep the pellets dry?
Do you still have your Rec Tec RT-300? If you do, any major issues yet? I am interested in buying one. It's either the Rec -Tec or a Traeger. Still can not make a decision. Really appreciate all info on this. Thanks.
man all you guys making videos about the rec tecs have done a nice job! but seriously did tec tec give you a grill for free in exchange for a product review?
rectang excellent products looking forward to see many more
Looks like Larry has a new, fun toy.. It should serve you well!!
Loved the vid. I'm curious to know how the smoke flavor compares to a traditional wood smoker?
thanks for posting this! just bought a big rec tec and burning it in today, on the 4th! you answered some questions for me, thanks bud! happy smoking! that's sounds bad, how about happy grillin' !
Very nice!
I already have a gass grill but can you tell what grill or smoker to get for doing like a big ham or ribs would it be a offset or kamado or what please help
Looks nice and all that BUT why don't you mention the cost? Similar grills I'm my area are pushing $700.
Great review, Brother. That is a pretty cool device, I have never heard of such a beast for a cooking grill, but I have seen plenty of pellet stoves for heating. GB
Larry, this is a very smart looking grill guy. WOW! I'm looking forward to watching you operate this baby during the summer. Aieee! Take care my friend.
Wow that's a gorgeous grill. Love the little drain bucket.
The best part for me is the …"No Assembly Required"
You can't beat that.
That's a cool looking drip bucket! Very nice overview… Might have to add the RecTec to this years Christmas list 🙂
…and a styrofoam pork shoulder. Nice job, Wolfie!
Been seriously considering a pellet stove…thanks for the review!
@Joshua Fields Millburn Thank you Josh!
"… and depending on who and where you're cookin'. .." Sorry, Larry, that just tickled my funnybone.
Seriously, these have a lot of very cool features, and look like a joy to own. One question, though. Where are they manufactured? Not that it really matters all that much, I guess, but the cardboard material the shipping box is made of looks a bit Asian to me. I looked on the RecTec website, but they ain't tellin'. 🙂
Very nice review and tutorial, Wolfie! 🙂 Good for you, my friend! Thanks and thumbs up as always, Norfolk Joe
Awesome review Larry!! I really like that. You are so good at the grilling vids. Thanks!!
Larry, good looking new backyard mini microwave…. the more I see these Rec-Tec's, the more I enjoy them…. there are times I get tired of adding this, adjusting that and checking this………
That's the reason I love my old Orion Cooker…. load it, light it and leave it… ribs are 1hr and 45min.
The video was a little late for Fathers Day….. So I will try this…. Dear Santa……
That Rec-Tec looks awesome Larry 🙂 Congrats on your new toy. The pizza looked good too 🙂 ROCK ON!!!!!!!
Nice review Larry. Those Rec-Tec pellet grills look pretty awesome.I watch Ray and Steve over at Rec-Tec bbq on them.they put some killer food.I really like how portable it is, thats an awesome feature.I might need the bigger one though.thanks for the review.
Great review Larry, and some sweet pellet grills you have there!
Great new addition Larry, The Rec Tec!
Looks nice, does the dog like it ?
Great review! Just wish this model was more budget-friendly 🙁
What state are you in?
No assembly required?! I'm in love!!!!!
Hi Larry! What an amazing demo! Well done. I have to admit that this particular grill looks like a great option for me since I will be moving back to Louisiana next May. I can take advantage of this grill while living in Colorado and easily transport it when I move. Great video!!
Nice grill; I like your new toy!
Pretty cool! You explained it well!
Look at the dog at the end!!!!
I like those grills. Should of gotten one. They hold temp real nice.
Good looking Grill Larry! Nice review too….. Thanks
Nice!!!!
When I saw I was thinking smoked turkey for Thanksgiving or anytime 🙂
Looking forward to future cooks 🙂
Great video Larry, ironically I have been looking at getting a Rec-Tec pellet smoker and wondered if I should invest in the full size Rec-Tec or the Mini. How much food do you think you can cook on the mini? May have to treat myself to one for my upcoming birthday….LOL
