Thanks for a great video. I just got the RT 300 but the video they recommended was for a much bigger grill with much more work to build. So glad you showed me the way forward. NOW I can unbox without fear of a whole afternoon of construction.

I just got one today. In the last part of the video what is the extension cord for when it is stored with the cover? Do you have a light in there to keep the pellets dry?

Do you still have your Rec Tec RT-300? If you do, any major issues yet? I am interested in buying one. It's either the Rec -Tec or a Traeger. Still can not make a decision. Really appreciate all info on this. Thanks.

"… and depending on who and where you're cookin'. .." Sorry, Larry, that just tickled my funnybone.

Seriously, these have a lot of very cool features, and look like a joy to own. One question, though. Where are they manufactured? Not that it really matters all that much, I guess, but the cardboard material the shipping box is made of looks a bit Asian to me. I looked on the RecTec website, but they ain't tellin'. 🙂

Larry, good looking new backyard mini microwave…. the more I see these Rec-Tec's, the more I enjoy them…. there are times I get tired of adding this, adjusting that and checking this………
That's the reason I love my old Orion Cooker…. load it, light it and leave it… ribs are 1hr and 45min.
The video was a little late for Fathers Day….. So I will try this…. Dear Santa……

Hi Larry! What an amazing demo! Well done. I have to admit that this particular grill looks like a great option for me since I will be moving back to Louisiana next May. I can take advantage of this grill while living in Colorado and easily transport it when I move. Great video!!

Great video Larry, ironically I have been looking at getting a Rec-Tec pellet smoker and wondered if I should invest in the full size Rec-Tec or the Mini. How much food do you think you can cook on the mini? May have to treat myself to one for my upcoming birthday….LOL
