Chef Tom takes a little inspiration from the hit 1990s sitcom Friends and cooks up a leftover turkey sandwich so good that you’ll want to make a turkey dedicated to it.
Is it not a common thing to put mayo on both pieces of bread? Whenever I see pro chefs do samies they never do. Chef Tom is a pro though he must know something I dont.
We've been doing this since I was a wee one some 51 odd years ago. Pop always called these turkey bombs….but mom soaked the stuffing, not the extra bread… Your cranberry orange relish is hers to the t.
Wow, that looks phenomenal, but I'll bet my husband wouldn't eat it. He usually eats each component separately and completely finishes each part before he eats a different one. I usually have a central zone where everything gets mixed.
I'm glad someone else knows about "food lube". I always end my order at Subway with "and for lube, I want…" It never fails to elicit a look somewhere between puzzlement and disgust. Sorry, folks but those condiments not only add flavor, but they also make it easier to swallow big bites of sandwich without choking. Unpleasant fact, but a fact nonetheless.
Pausing at 3:24 the adding of the red wine vinegar, does it help balance the tartness of the cranberries? Or serve another purpose? Nice recipe!! And I think I love leftover Thanksgiving food more than Thanksgiving Day food itself.
please inform us of what woods you smoke items. for example salt. thank you.
This has become my comfort channel…?
Kraut over cranberries errday in errwhichway.
Looks delicious..how do you slice turkey meat thin without it falling apart?thanks
Nice 3000 calorie sandwich! I am SOO going to make one of those !! Nice work Tom.
Would’ve loved to see that put into a panini press. Was that real Grand Mariner, looked clear in color not cognac brown…

That looked pretty amazing, here's my version (inspired by this, I've never used a "moistmaker" before).
Bottom slice:
Cream cheese
Cranberry/orange sauce
Sausage stuffing
Dark turkey meat
Moist maker
Top slice:
Dijon
Crispy fried mashed potato pancake (sweet potato works)
Dill pickle
White meat
Smoked gouda
Grill with plenty butter.
You forgot the mashed potato pancake and cream cheese ???
Pith off

Great video. Can I Order this sandwich from your website? JK LOL
I'm too lazy for this. I just stuff the cold turkey in my mouth. I'm a fat lose too though, so that's probably why.

loved this and the idea for the brie sounded amazing! I'll just make the moistmaker a lot thinner and will soak it longer.

LOL – I have never seen someone get kissed by a Turkey sandwich before. Perfect shade of lipstick! – Great work!
