July 4th 2022 Baby Back Ribs

July 4th 2022 Baby Back Ribs

There’s always room for Baby Back Ribs for the 4th of July. Here’s what we did.
Trimmed and pulled membrane from the ribs
Sliced next to the bone so we could get bark on all sides
Used mustard as a binder
Applied Pig Tickle from High Plains Spice Company in Sterling CO all over each rib.
Placed on rack and into the Traeger for 2 hours at 275 degrees. I used hickory pellets for this cook.
Every 30-45 spritz ribs with apple cider vinegar
After two hours, I pulled the ribs to wrap in aluminum foil. I added some brown sugar, 5 pats of butter and some D’Vine Gourmet Prickly Pear honey to get some moisture and some sweetness to the ribs. Once completely wrapped, back on the Traeger for additional 2.5 hours.
Pulled at the 4 and half hour mark, placed on my cutting board for display and rested them for about 15 minutes.
Enjoy and Happy Fourth of July 2022.
