Vidalia = Vie-day-lee-ah (I live in Atlanta…)
I added dried thyme, other than that, it's great!
do not understand you guys we in the south would add rice or noodles not just chicken and su/ sauce that is not a casserole
Yup I need to make this! Kinda reminds me of a chicken divan but your version looks 1000 times better.
I was born and raised in Detroit but my parents were from the deep south. And they were older than most parents with kids in the sixties and seventies. My mom made big fluffy biscuits and tasty gravy without milk. I wish you would show more videos like this. Money is going to be tight for families in the future and old 'fashion recipes' like this will help them survive the bad time. Love you and and your family!
Ha I cooked something my wife loved and she had seconds. Thanks for a great Casserole
I want to make this and I will take your suggestion to add vegetables. I think I will put in some carrots, corn and broccoli. Thanks for the great recipe and tutorial.
Wow Larry! This looks delicious and I'm making it! I'll be adding carrots and peas, and serving it either, over rice, egg noodles or, mashed potatos! Omg I can't wait to try this! Thanks for sharing.
I've subscribed! I love your recipes!
Could I still do this in a casserole dish if I wanted to? For my family I’ll need to double or triple the recipe and I don’t have a cast iron skillet big enough for that. Would I need to adjust the time/temperature to do so?
And yes u can have to much butter it's coming sence
At 1:10 uh yah it called butter=fat and other stuff so ur wrong tbh
You are the reason im allowed in the kitchen by myself again lol. Thanks man ! Great videos !
Yummy u making me hungry can u substitute fresh garlic for garliic powder thank for your awesome dishes I love watching your videos
You’re website is the best. If you google a receipt you’re likely to get a site where you have to read about the person’s life story before you get to the receipt. You’re site is no bs receptive right there and free! You the man!
So you made a PotPie
Thinking about making it for my family.I'm surprised no cheese with this casserole. Would you put cheese in it?or it wouldn't taste right?if u did what cheese would u put?
wump ????
I meant to say… it WASN'T difficult.
I made this tonight and it was fantastic!!!! If anyone comes across this and is just thinking about making it… you must! It was difficult to make at all… beats anything I've ever made with a can of mushroom soup. Thank you so much for posting. Oh ya, I also took his suggestion and went to his website to print out the recipe. I will be visiting more of your recipes. If they are even half as good as this one I will be happy. I am sure they will exceed my expectations. I used my 12 inch cast iron skillet but you could make this easy in a 9 x 13 pan. Good show!!!
Looking good! Plus I get to use my cast iron skillet! I think I might add some frozen peas. Kinda like tuna casserole. And there you are at the end… saying exactly that! LOL ADD SOME VEGETABLES FOR A TWIST. Check back with you when I make it.
You had me until the Mayonnaise. Anyone have any experience with this recipe?
TheWolfePit, do you work at a restaurant??? :/
I want to make this for supper tonight, alas, I have no Ritz (or the like) crackers. Any recommendations for a sub? Corn flake crumbs? Just leave that part out maybe?
YES!!! Texas Pete's Hot Sauce is the best!
This looks delish! I am doing a low carb diet and was thinking I might top it with cheese (instead of crackers.) Do you think I could use cream instead of milk and omit the flour, or would that be too watery?
Hey TheWolfePit, started watching your videos a couple weeks ago or so and I love them! I'm in college right now so food is an interesting subject to say the least. Cooking on a budget is very much needed. I'm moving into an apartment soon that will have a kitchen (currently in a dorm) and I'll finally be able to cook and not eat out or eat microwave food every day! I plan on using some of these recipes if I can make time to prepare food. Though it may be a bit boring for your taste (totally not a pun), have you thought about making some good crock-pot recipes? Crock pots seem like a good way to start your cooking before classes and having them ready by the time you get back. I'm trying to eat healthy but at the same time be cost efficient as well as time efficient. Just throwing it out there.
I think I'll try this, but with Greek yogurt instead of mayo.
you do so well explaining the label on other food items, like spam, that if you have not done so yet the opportunity is there for you to review the nutrition ""facts""" on those store cooked chickens.and if you have seen the boxes and handling practices at any wal-fraud-mart I wonder what you would post. merry christmas dude !!
i love your videos!
If only I would of seen this vid 4 days earlier I wouldnt have to eat that dry ass leftover turkey breast
Larry, enjoying all your videos!
Looks really good, I'm all about having some comfort food. How have you been. Have a nice thanksgiving.
Larry, today is the day for this recipe. Do you think a can of cream of mushroom or chicken could be worked in as a substitute for the mayo?
I have to do this one for sure its look absolutely delicious – I think tho, I'll top it with some cheese and then the bread crumbs
that looks good
