Forget the Hot Dog, just want a bowl of that venison chili. Looks so good. Laughed at the end. ?
YUM…
I barely have time to get out to justify a ticket these days, any suggestions on local areas to support legal hunted meat in the Southern MD area?
Now I kinda got worried when you put vinegar and tomatoes in your CAST IRON skillet. Doesn't that hurt the skillet? Also, I know you killed your own venison, but does anyone know how much it is in the store if you buy it from there?
we don't get the flies as much as down south but boy the black flies and mosquitoes and noseeums are killers.
Prisoners of war were kept in camps around here and when they tried to escape they came back right quick because they were being eaten alive. Guards just waited for them to return.
Larry, I'm a big connoisseur of chili dogs and will have to give this chili a try. Looks really good. And as I laugh…I realize that you have the same response to flies in the house as I do…LOL.
Thank you for watching Carmel! Please let me know how you like it!
Larry
Im making this tonight !!
What type of beer did you use
Who needs a dog when you have chili that looks that good!!! I bet that would be good over corn chips with some cheese on top too!!! I'm hungry now, gotta go eat. Thanks!
WHOA. Now this is boom.
looked good Larry! the deer meat make's it great!
Looked great Larry! I know what you mean about the local hotdogs. We have a place in Nashville called Porter Rd. Butcher that makes them out of beef short ribs and they are amazing!
Oh btw I tried my first meal in it! Your beef fried rice! It was awesome! Thanks
Well here goes another one one to try! Also I did find the wok you said would be better, but the directions says to season it often or it will rust, do you season yours every time you use it like a cast iron skillet? Thank you
I Love a Good Hot Dog, and that looked like a Great one!
The city girl in my freaked out a little over the locally killed comment. There's still a part of me that wants to believe my meat came from a boutique somewhere 😉 Looked amazing anyways! You are such a talented cook
awesome! on both the chili dog and the out-take.
Looks scrumptious!
I like the way you did the bun, which was also locally killed, I presume 😉
Venison makes absolutely outstanding chili!!
My brother is a hunter and I'm always grateful when I get some fresh venison, and chili is my first choice with ground….but sometimes I'll get a whole front quarter to put on the smoker…it's one of the reasons I hold it so deer 😉
(very bad pun, sorry, sorry :p )
Don't worry about that fly, they don't eat much! *

Oh hey, it's JB's birthday on Tuesday! He's 160 years old. You need a smaller pan. Hahaha I like the "Locally killed" comment. 100 mile diet.
Looks really good! Its been a long time since I had any venison.
Oh My Goodness Yes!! Love the Hot Peppers.!! Thank You for sharing with us! Oh Yeah the fly did wave at us!!! LOL!!! Not!!

I've never wanted a hot dog as much as I want this one
Do you cut fat into your ground venison?
I'll have to try this recipe for the next chili cookoff at my church 🙂
One of the best chili dogs I have ever seen – those looked excellent!
Way to go Larry.
MUSTARD! Looks great, Larry, thanks for the chili sauce recipe. Shoo fly!
These were amazing! Even better for lunch the next day! My coworkers loved them!
*lol* @ Sponge-Bob Square Pants!
Thanks, Larry . . . I like the way you cook everything OUTside on your grill, instead of INside and make it hotter than hell in your kitchen . . .
I always like to cook outside, but it's been raining so much lately up here, that still "no can do" *lol*
All best and thumbs up, Jersey Joe 🙂
