Now I kinda got worried when you put vinegar and tomatoes in your CAST IRON skillet. Doesn't that hurt the skillet? Also, I know you killed your own venison, but does anyone know how much it is in the store if you buy it from there?

we don't get the flies as much as down south but boy the black flies and mosquitoes and noseeums are killers.
Prisoners of war were kept in camps around here and when they tried to escape they came back right quick because they were being eaten alive. Guards just waited for them to return.

Larry, I'm a big connoisseur of chili dogs and will have to give this chili a try. Looks really good. And as I laugh…I realize that you have the same response to flies in the house as I do…LOL.

Looked great Larry! I know what you mean about the local hotdogs. We have a place in Nashville called Porter Rd. Butcher that makes them out of beef short ribs and they are amazing!

Well here goes another one one to try! Also I did find the wok you said would be better, but the directions says to season it often or it will rust, do you season yours every time you use it like a cast iron skillet? Thank you

    Looks scrumptious!
I like the way you did the bun, which was also locally killed, I presume 😉

    Venison makes absolutely outstanding chili!!
My brother is a hunter and I'm always grateful when I get some fresh venison, and chili is my first choice with ground….but sometimes I'll get a whole front quarter to put on the smoker…it's one of the reasons I hold it so deer 😉

(very bad pun, sorry, sorry :p )

Don't worry about that fly, they don't eat much! *

    *lol* @ Sponge-Bob Square Pants!

Thanks, Larry . . . I like the way you cook everything OUTside on your grill, instead of INside and make it hotter than hell in your kitchen . . .

I always like to cook outside, but it's been raining so much lately up here, that still "no can do" *lol*

All best and thumbs up, Jersey Joe 🙂
