Lol…you are not the only one that pats the food!! I do it and I've noticed a few other youtube cooks who do it as well! BTW…the french toast looks amazing!
Larry this is one of the best videos I have ever seen on real French Toast. Thanks for sharing this. Aieee!
man that looks so good. Didn't know you had to let it soak up . Great stuff Larry!
Whoa! . . . now THAT's what ya call "French Toast", Larry! :-0 Thanks so much for your uploads! Always great, and right to the point! All best and thumbs up as always, your buddy, Jersey Joe 🙂
Wow, Larry, that looks amazing, man.

Julia Child would have your ass in a sling for not shaking that powdered sugar through a sieve. I like the way it puffs up in the oven. I've never tried it that way. I'm with you on the maple surple, but I'll trade the powdered sugar rush for good ol' animal fat and cholesterol. Bacon and butter.
So while you've been screwing around with French bread and French toast, and probably even French eggs, I've been playing with other French thingies, and you haven't even noticed yet. Humph!
Found you thanks to cookingwithjulie…..glad I did ?
Looks great, Larry. I love French toast. Great job.
Dont you just love real maple syrup? Im lucky enough to have a fresh supply at a farm nearby the summer cottage, this looks great, thanks Larry.
Sugar coma lol, so true Larry! excellent technique (finishing them in the oven). I haven't made french toast in a long time, I'll have to do this. thanks for doing this.
Add a little cream cheese mixed combined with cool whip on mine 🙂
