HOW TO CUT UP A WHOLE CHICKEN INTO PARTS
______________________________________________________________

METHOD:

Step #1
Cut between the leg quarters and breast making your cut closer to the leg to help keep more skin on the breast. Next press down the legs and fold them back a bit until you see the joints pop. Slice through the joints and remove the Leg Quarters. Next find the fat line and slice through it and the joing to get your thigh and drimstick portions

Step #2
Hold the wing up and feel for the joint of the wing and breast. Cut around and through the joint to remove your wing portions

Step #3
To remove the breast, slice down the side of the keel bone and along the wishbone. Continue down the rib cage until the breast portion has been removed. Repeat for the other side.

    Nice summary. At the moment i get 4 chickens for the price of 2 lbs of breast (so 8 breasts and all the other parts for the same money). Drumsticks and thighs are less expensive than the breast of course, but a whome chicken is always best 🙂
