I saw that these were available through Amazon Fresh in my city. I said to myself, "Self, I don't know what to think. I'll order one and try it on a Sunday night, when I'm taking out the trash."

It is that Sunday night. Self's suspicions were correct.

"Just when you think it cant get any worse, it does". Literally, perfectly summed up my exact sentiment. I love fried rice, so I was excited to see this in the store. These were almost literally inedible. Just absolutely horrid, with an almost chemical-like taste… I can’t fathom how Benihana would even put their name behind it.

But did you add Yum-Yum sauce? Because in my opinion, any bad food can be elevated with that. Also soy sauce. I just bought this, along with Yum-Yum and soy sauce, but I'm seriously considering replacing that nasty spongy looking chicken with my leftover strips of ribeye. ? (maybe?)

I was thinking about textured vegetable protein. To give it the same texture as meat, how about adding wood fibers? They already put sawdust in canned Parmesan cheese. Read the label folks. Cellulose. Google it. You’re eating it already. Talk about greed.

I wish I would have watched this before I spent 10 dollars on 2 of these nasty meals! They should be ashamed of themselves charging that much for those meals! Banquet taste better than these! DO NOT BUY!

I had it about 2 months ago and couldn't have been more disappointed. It was nothing like the real product, totally inedible and disgusting. Even more infuriating when you paid at least 5 dollars for it. I also had no idea what that sauce was on it, but it didn't help the meal and wasn't a sauce they use on the rice at the actual Benihana.

Come on Benihana! You can do better than this. I bought this product this weekend and it tasted like a butane lighter. Awful! and it cost $4.49 money down the drain. Shame, Shame. I also see some of the comments are from a year ago, so nothing was done to improve the product.

Absolutely disgusting, I put down the fork, and will go without dinner tonight. I love all Asian cuisine, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, this is not one of them. I have never commented on a food before, but I would not feed this to anyone. Probably, the worst meal I have ever tasted.

I gotta say, I just tried the "Rocky's choice" and I swear it's the best frozen Asian dish I have ever had, you should review that, it's very basic, (steak chicken zucchini sesame seeds rice) but actually tastes great, just add a small splash of soy sauce.

to make it good you gotta heat it up in the microwave for 2 min, throw some butter and garlic in the skillet let it melt and marinate, throw the rice in there stir it p let it cook for 5min stir again let it sit for another 5min and then itll be just like the real deal holyfield

I have eaten at a Benihana's Japanese Steakhouse it was good, maybe3 1/2- 4 out of five stars(the Osaka and later the little Osaka that was in Freshpond, Ma were a solid topped out 5 out of 5). I had the Yakisoba Soba bowl(on sale $5.50 BOGO with two $1.00 coupons, so $1.75 each)I have wondered why Benihana's put their name on this poor food, even at $1.75 I would not buy it again.

I've purchased this. Now, I am not a picky eater, I appreciate a fine meal but if it's just meh, I'll probably still eat it. I had one bite of this crap and it is freakin unedible. Stay away from anything branded Benihana that is in the freezer section.
