Made this recipe a few days ago. I was looking for a coleslaw recipe for a family get together. It was very tart and I LOVED IT!
Hubby not so much (light weight). Made another colealaw recipe for the family.
I will keep this recipe gem for myself.

The secret is to let is sit in the fridge overnight, it takes time to get that classic flavor, it took me a few tries to get it right, it’s not something you can just quickly whip up and serve immediately, also I like to substitute some of the mayo for sour cream…

Instead of vinegar I use pickle juice. Of course I dont add any salt, since there is enough in the pickle juice. Then my sugar, then mayo and pepper. The dill in the juice makes it. Yum

Hey Larry, I would like to see you get into sous vide. I swear by it. For your first sous vide dish do chicken gizzards and hearts. Here in middle GA they are often sold in the same package but I have seen them sold separately. In any case, sous vide them at 185 degrees for 8 hours and then prepare some white rice. Mix the meat in with the rice at the last couple of minutes cook time and season with lots of black pepper. You want a lot of gizzards with a little rice so do not make to much rice.
