Being from Virginia, Rockfish is one of my favorite grilling foods. I prefer flesh side down also, since it makes for a better presentation and the skin holds everything together.

Guests just absolutely love it! Excellent presentation and video!!

That looks amazing! I grew up in Maryland and fished all over the east coast. The atlantic coast striper is really tasty however you cook it. My mother would cook it in a spicy Korean style stew and it was so delicious!!

Yes Sir! "mail the skin to me". I hear ya! Absolutely! Eat the skin, people! You paid for the fish, get all the flavor and nutrition!
And flesh side first on the grill – always! this guy knows what he's talkin' about!!!

That looks sooo damn good!!! I don't know why people have such a hard time cooking fish. I get this question at least 2x a day at work. It's one of the simplest things to cook. I just chuckle to myself sometimes.. I would be all over that plate..YUMMY!!

I've never heard that debate, I've only heard skin side down. right or wrong, if it works for you it's right for you! next time I grill fish I'll have to go skin side up! as always Larry your food looks amazing.

Magnificent looking filets, you lucky sumbitch! Try getting that down here. LOL

In one of my Mom's old scrapbooks, there is a photo of me when I was about 5, holding up a Striped Bass I'd just caught on the beach, a little south of Virginia Beach at Lynnhaven Inlet. It was nearly as big as I was, and I was so proud I probably peed myself. It was also dinner.

Beautifully plated, I must say! I want it!

Help Larry, I keep clicking on the link to print the recipe and it only brings me to the video, no written recipe. Tried emailing it, posting it to Pinterest and the link keeps bringing me to the video. I just want the recipe – how do I get it?

I'm looking for Basil recipes.  Thank you!  I have a ton of Basil in my garden this year.  I will try this on chicken as well as catfish, as that's our favorite fish.  Thanks so much!

Very nice, Wolfie! 🙂 Lately, I've been trying to get more fish into my diet (e.g. catfish, tilapia, etc.) so your video is especially interesting for me. Fish is so great because it's very light and tasty, yet still very filling and satisfying. (I agree that the skin is especially tasty, so I won't be sending you any. Sorry! <lol>) 😉 Thumbs way up as always, your buddy, Norfolk Joe
