Grilled OSTRICH Cheeseburger – "BIG BIRD" Burger – The Wolfe Pit

In this video I’m teaming up with the good folks at Fossil Farms who offer all natural exotic meats and game! Today I’m trying their 3 pack of 7 oz Ostrich Burgers! Are they the other red meat? Are they good? Watch and see you will be surprised.

Growing up in a pure vegetarian family, now that my parents have passed I can admit [without fear of being ostracized] that I have eaten meat and game. I had an ostrich burger years ago and yes it was imo better than beef. But by far the best meat I have ever eaten is kangaroo though you wouldn't make a burger of it because it's very rich, I've also eaten monitor lizard though I'm not a fan of reptile meat.

Hey guys!!! Thanks for the video. I'm in CA and shamelessly must confess that I don't go to Fuddruckers anywhere near as often as I should, but love them none the less. I too tried my first ostrich there and when asked how I'd like to have it cooked I said I don't know never had it have the chef cook it how'd he would eat it. Came back nearly raw but nicely burnt edges. Loved it!!! Thanks again say hi to the fam.

Ostrich meat is good! It's hard to cook the red out of it though, if you do, its' overcooked! That's hard to get used to.
It is very tasty in chili, or any dish which would require ground beef…
Very healthy meat. The other cuts are good too, it's just hard to get used to it being so red, even though cooked through.

Well I can't eat a fully loaded burger since I practically hate any kind of veggie or sauces (biggest nonos : tomatos / onions / mayo

I keep them simple ! ? just the meat / cheese and bacon (I don't mind hot sauce at all) but that's pretty much it ?
