Grilled Leg of Lamb Recipe

Leg of Lamb is a beautiful centerpiece on the table for any occasion. This leg of lamb I’m cooking today is studded with fresh rosemary and garlic, then simply seasoned with Kosher salt, black pepper and grilled to perfection. This is a very simple grilling recipe, that is packed with flavor, melt in your mouth tender and absolutely delicious.

Hey, Wolfie! 🙂 I never liked lamb very much, but the way you cook it here sure makes it look tasty enough that I would give it a try again! <lol> Thanks and thumbs up, Norfolk Joe 🙂 (going to be 81F tomorrow down here! :-0 )

Many years ago I used to work as the manager/bookkeeper for a steak and seafood house that was run by a Greek man. He mostly stayed in the kitchen with the cooks and I worked the front of house and did the books. Anyways every year he put on a thank you dinner for his staff at Easter time and this is the same way he showed me how to cook a leg of lamb. He also did a tray of potatoes, chunks of zuchinni, tomatoes, onions, garlic cloves, rosemary, s&p that were coated in olive oil and roasted up in the big oven with the lamb.Best lamb with side dish I ever had. Oh and he made fresh tzatziki sauce to. Oh you must have tzatziki with Greek lamb Larry. Been very fortunate in my younger years worked in 2 restaurants doing books and front of house for very good chefs. This Greek steak n seafood house and the other place was run by an old Jewish woman who had the tattoo from WWII.

Larry, that was a great idea to add the rosemary to the heat deflector plate! What an easy recipe! The juices just ran out of it. It was cooked to perfection! This is a must try! It's easy enough to put on the grill and serve to company, and still have plenty of time to socialize! I'm saving this one! Thank you!

Wow! That looks so good! I cooked 2 whole chickens on my Weber for Easter. One was regular and one organic. I prepared, and cooked them, exactly the same, and the organic one turned out more smokey tasting. Do you have any idea why that would be? I'm stumped.
