As most of you already know my local Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Dollar General or Walmart stores are my own personal adult playgrounds. I shop at these stores to find food that is generally highly processed, full of fillers and simply bad for us to eat regularly! Meat, vegetables, canned food, frozen food, refrigerated food, boxed food, vegan food, vegetarian food and all sorts of prepared foods, if it’s cheap and questionable I will do a taste test and food review on it! I also show you these foods are no bargain like these discount stores and manufacturers lead you to believe. I do this to show you that fresh foods are not only healthier, but they’re also cheaper than these so called bargain foods. So far I haven’t gotten sick, but some of these foods are certainly questionable and have come close to making me sick.

About 30 years ago when my wife and l were first married we lived 8n a small home just off a state highway. When we rented the house back in the back of the kitchen pantry there were two cans of canned rattlesnake left in there from a previous tenant. I dont remember it being smoked though. We kept it kinda just as a conversation piece, as neither us or anybody we knew had ever seen it before. One night a hitchhiker knocked, yes we answered as this was some time before the world had gone completely insane. He said he was hungry and askex if we had any food to spare. We had just had supper and hooked him up with some leftovers. But, me being me, there was no meat left. I felt kinda bad. So l pull out the canned rattlesnake and offered it. I expected him to say "no thanks" but to my surprise he said "sure I'll try it". So, we opened one up. It didn't look ANYTHING like that stuff in the video. It was whole big sections of snake. Kinda like those big cans of Alaska salmon. Just white meat. He started eating it and said it was actually pretty good. So l tried a little bit. And it was ok. Not great, but beats starving l guess. I'd never buy it though. We hooked him up with a couple canned goods and the other can of snake and off he went happy.

Yeah this is old, but they're not popular in the MW, they are popular in the Rocky Mountain region. There is bars that specialize all over the place there, while I have yet to see 1 in the MW.
