Good morning everyone! Lot's of comments lately that I'm gonna die eating Dollar Tree foods. For what it's worth I do NOT eat 98% of the foods you see in the processed foods videos. I take a couple bites to do the video and that's it! Every once in a while I will find something that isn't terribly unhealthy and delicious that I will eat. Other than on those rare occasions the food is tossed after the taste test.

That answers a question. Always hear American movies and books talking about biscuits and gravy as a breakfast food. Now I get what it is – biscuits are pretty similar to what we'd call a scone over this side of the Atlantic.

I've got a $Tree right down the street but never thought to do whole meals. Snacks? Sure, but not meals. Thx for the recipies & inspiration.

I'm a "foodie", a Gastric Bypass Patient (~600 to 185lbs! ? ), have an Assoc. Deg. in Foodservice/Rest. Mgmt. (FOH & BOH), & am a fairly accomplished AMATEUR chef (yes, still just a lower-case "c" ? ). Even with all of that said, I grew up poor & STILL like dishes that most would consider below "peasant food". . . that is IF they even knew the proper definition of the term (think –> Fried Bologna Sandwiches!).

    Thanks, again Chef Wolfe!

All the sad people hating on dollar tree food have never been in a rut. And if they tell you otherwise, they are pious, and shallow AF with some sort of elitist POV. Dollar tree food isn't the best, but it will keep you, and those you care for alive. Maybe I just hate elitism, whenever I enter a wholefoods, or even Safeway, I'm overwhelmed by a tidal wave of pompous elitist vibes that make me more Ill than anything I ever ate in the DT

I'm guessing it isn't available at the local Dollar Tree but I have a similar secret ingredient for my sausage gravy. I've always used a couple dashes of Maggi seasoning. Similar to Worcestershire sauce only different and I think just a bit tastier in soups and gravies.

I’m sick to my stomach…..biscuits are ONLY to be made from scratch, number two if it isn’t Tennessee Pride sausage it’s useless. Biscuits and gravy should only be made by southern folk and Yankees are not deserving of such a delicacy.
