Comfort Food Recipe – Chopped Steak with High Temp Cheese and Gravy




This high temp cheese and chopped steak recipe is pure comfort food. The key is using a special cheese that you can easily get online or at a store near you.

Here’s the recipe:

High temp cheese chop steak 

3lbs 80/20 hamburger 
Myron Mixon’s Wild Game Rub
3 cups high temp cheddar cheese 
1 large onion sliced 
1 cups chopped bell pepper 
Cup cooking oil
Cup flour 
Salt and pepper
2 cups beef broth 
Instructions:
Mix meat , cheese , and rub. Then mold into 3 one pound patties. Place in freezer for 15-30 minutes. 

While steaks are in freezer, heat oil in skillet and sauté onion rings and peppers until soft. Stir in flour until it browns up, add broth and bring to boil, season with black pepper and salt to taste, then remove from eye.
Place chop steaks on hot grill and cook until medium. Plate and ladle gravy over top.
