I'll be having a take on this today ( forgot the sausage : ) the broth is as good as the mussels so don't forget to dip it up!  Use one of the biggest mussel shells as a scoop.

This recipe looks great. I would really love to see you guys do a roast pork and clam dish… you pretty much use this same recipe as far as the sauce for the clam is concerned.. just add some sliced up red bell peppers and some of that smokey delicious roast pork I have seen on other youtube videos that you guys have on here. Great way to use some leftover roast pork.. and its a great meal. Had it in a portuguese restaurant a few times in case you want to look up a recipe for it online to see how its traditionally done and then put a BBQ pit boys spin on it 🙂 I look forward to the video if you guys can make it happen. Also.. is there an NY chapter? If not we gotta work on that. These mussels looked reeeeeeeal guuuuud!

Great vid, looks delicious.  Hate to be the one to say the obvious, but the parsley was left orphan!  The best part in my opinion especially with chorizo.  Keep up the vids guys, amazing stuff

these were Canadian grown, Atlantic cold-water farm raised Mussels. Cleaned and ready to eat. Top quality and excellent tasting. Don't have to scrape 'em off the rocks yourself and clean them beards anymore. -BBQ Pit Boys

Nice recipe , but I hope you cleaned the mussels before cooking. They tend to have a lot of sand and a beard. What i do is soak them in heavily salted water for about 10-20 mins to remove the sand and then use a knife to peal away their green beard. Thumbs up!

@2hottie69isBACK No. That is Mexican style Chorizo. The Portuguese Chorizo has big chunks of porc in it not minced up like this one. You can't mash up the Portuguese Chorizo. Look at online pics for the difference. I made this recipe with hot Portuguese Chorizo sliced up about a 1/4" thick and it was fantastic! Combine the Portuguese Chorizo's smoky flavors mixed up with the mussels and wines flavors… taste guuuud!
