You don't need to add any salt it already has enough. I do add pepper to it and it is pretty good.
I think I'll give this a try. I'll have the container of sage and the pepper grinder handy!
The Dinty Moore chicken and dumplings is almost the same as my grandmothers homemade stuff, just a little saltier.
My brother is an ametuer chef. Our sister in law is Chinese and her parents are really good cooks. Inspired to try some of their recipes he went into a little Asian grocery store and asked the lady there for MSG. She gave him a weird look and sidled off to the back room behind a curtain.
A minute later the store owner walked out and asked him what he was looking for. My brother told him and he smiled and said "Oh, okay. White man usually not want MSG". He told all of us and we got such a kick out of it!
I keep watching these videos, even the old ones. Being stuck in bed, it makes the time go by faster! ✌️

Your comparison method is all wrong, the other cans you heated in a microwave n this one on a stovetop which method alters the food chemistry in the ingredients changing the taste. Try cooking them all the same method before you compare.
I'm just not a fan of dumplings, every time I've had them they are soggy 100% of the time.
What's a shame is I remember Sweet Sue sold in stores in the early 90's had a clump of pulled chicken in the can. Times do change.

Can't get my daughter to make me the home made chicken & dumplings; I guess this would be the next best thing. Definitely going to try this.
I add 1/2 can of water, LOTS of black pepper and Tobasco, and call it soup. Good stuff !
Omg i wouldn't feed my cat this prosseced food. Dont eat this trash it will kill u. You can make very easily freash foods that are not expansive and healthy
