Nasty sseing the charcoal ashes floating in the broth, maybe serve this on Ash Wednesday? The possibility of crunching on charcoal is gross. What about smoking the carrots on YS 640 grill to get smoke flavor???

Great recipe and technique. That would make a great Hot Brown Turkey Sandwich too I bet.
Almost like the carrot equivalent of the tried and true split pea soup. Idea char onions and celery with the carrots and you get charred mirepoix soup. Awesome video.
