Why do I always get a compulsion to drink water when I watch you eat dollar store foods? Lol..
worsheser shauce
Delicious delicious & healthy economical meal !
You make awesome content Larry. Don't let anyone ever tell you different.
STORY TIME: So one night while riding with my father-in-law on the twisting back highways of Missouri a deer jumped in front of us, and hit the right front side of the car. It was a clean kill, and after talking with police, they gave us a deer tag, and said we could have it processed.
Turns out that meat was not as cheep as we thought. A neighbor helped my father in law clean the deer and cut it up. The repair bill for the lights and bumper of the car made that the most expensive deer meat we have ever had.
I have literally done this before pretty good if I must say.
Please Sir, may I have some more?
For just $1more you can get the 2/$1 Jiffy Corn Bread Mix which would not only go great with this but fill up stomachs easily
I really enjoy watching these episodes!
Whats the background music you always use?
i love your recipes. i need to make this soup
this is awesome
Wow Larry, another one of my mom's favorites! My mom makes this exact dish with rice instead of egg noodles and it's her homemade Venus De Milo soup. It's very tasty!
For all the haters btw that say this can't feed people, I'm 6'3 215lbs and can eat my fair share of food. I can only get 1 bowl down per sitting with a bread and butter. This is a perfect hearty and filling budget meal.
So what is the purpose of this channel now?
I really love these budget recipes, I'm gonna try making this soup later this week. (No, I don't do Thanksgiving)
We always keep veggie jars in the freezer for making soup. When there are left over veggies (It's usually just like a tbsp of two at most) we throw them into one of the jars. When the jars are full we make a pot of soup and then the only expensive part we have to buy is the meat.
Now as for the butter in chili, LOL I've never done that myself but since in my experience melted butter goes great with grilled steak, I don't see why it might not go well in chili.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP POURING EVERYTHING IN ONE SPOT OMFG JUST THINK ABOUT IT …….
Looks good brah
My dad once ran into a deer right next to a butcher's shop and we ate like kings for weeks!
I know not everyone is as fortunate as me, but "feeds 6-8" is straight a up click bait lie
We grew up on hamburger noodle soup.
I enjoy your videos. I don't read comments or care what other people say.
That looks good, I might make this tomorrow.
This is exactly the type of dinner I'll cook for my family (my two younger sisters, my parents, and myself) and while it may not be the fanciest, it's homey and simple and most importantly, cheap. I'm glad you're out here showing off what one can do when they're struggling.
Why is American Beef so cheap? Is it in shit quality or something? I'm Asian and I think American beef is surprisingly cheap. Actually not only beef but every groceries are cheap in America. Only 3 bucks for half a kilo of ground beef and a buck for frozen veges, noodles and shit. Americans are funny.
Vegetables are OK but don't provide many calories per dollar. I'd be more likely to add flour to the broth instead of vegetables. Or buy rice in 10- or 20 lb. bags and add that to the broth.
Looks gross IMO but I understand that not everyone is fortunate.
If I wanted to use rice instead of noodles, would you say the fast cook rice or regular rice would work better?
What you are doing is AMAZING! My job as a public health nurse (I'm retired and on a very fixed income even now) was to help lower income folks (of which, at the time, I was one~a single mom with student debt to pay) make good choices for meals as well as to stretch those dollars til they screamed. What you're doing is teaching others that low cost doesn't have to mean processed, full of fat and salt packages that seem inexpensive (like kraft dinner), but with ten bucks you can buy enough cheese, pasta and other ingredients to make four or five meals, with less processed crap and better nutritional value. TY for doing this.
Jenn in Canada ??
Rice, beans, and noodles are amazingly cheap. As for butter in chili, if you'd put cheese in it, why not?
I greatly enjoy these videos and agree with you on the subject of others not being as fortunate as us…… If I weren't making as little as I do I really would help out other families, it is hard we all know this
This looks good ty
Quick, easy and so much better for you than premade slop
I continue to appreciate these budget friendly recipe ideas. We're doing OK now, but I've been poor. Yum, nothing like homemade soup
This soup is a winner! I'll definitely be making this delicious soup. I was drooling over the thumbnail ?♥️?❤️?
Hey man, I have to ask; Is this what your budget limits you to? From the disclaimer you put at the beginning of your video's, it seems like this might be what you legitimately have to make every day? Or is it just a hobby?
Gonna buy a can of Stagg tomorrow and put a knob of butter in it and see how it goes.
I’m loving the budget videos!
Thank you I am going to make this meal!
I do something similar but I use some chilli flakes and I don't top it off with water. It's not a soup but the starch from the rice makes a nice sauce. It's a pretty tasty dish and hearty in the cold months. It's cheap too and cheaper rice seems to suit it best.
I swear I'm not hating and I enjoy all your videos. But I know you can make a soup twice as big for half the cost using fresh vegetables that taste twice as good. Hopefully you can show us that one also.
When we were poor, we would make sliced bread pizza: sliced bread, spaghetti sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. We would also burrweinos, which was basically a chili dog wrapped in a tortilla, though hot dog buns are probably cheaper. Another good meal, which can feed a lot, and is quite filling, is boiled chicken, or baked, and rice. I remember for quite a while, we had to survive on chicken and rice. Kinda one of my favorite meals though, especially if you can get turkey and jasmine rice.
I get the whole some people are not as fortunate thing and I love your videos but who the fuck is feeding a family of 8 these days?
Why do people hate on you. I think you are the best
