Followed the recipe to the T (except a few drops of sweetener to the biscuit dough). These may honestly be the best biscuits and gravy that I have ever consumed. Certainly the best that I've made. Thanks for the great recipe.

Hi, I have a question. I am on the SCD diet for GI issues.  I don't eat dairy except really hard cheese and 24 hour homemade yogurt.  I make my yogurt with 1/2 & 1/2.  Could I use my yogurt in place of the cream or do you think I should make a batch of 24 hour yogurt using full cream for this recipe?  Do you think that I will need to add water to my yogurt to thin it or will the heat thin it?  Thank you for your help 🙂

I do understand why Homemade Healthy uses xanthan gum. HWC is not typically without carbs. Although it's low in moderate quantities, like a couple of tablespoons here and there, 2 cups of most HWC would have 32 grams of carbohydrate. I've only recently been able to find "pure" cream that doesn't have any thickener added to it. I like your recipe, looks delish! But the alternative isn't all that "baffling".

Thank you for this and the biscuit recipe! after eating eggs for breakfast everyday for 2 months, I suddenly developed an allergy to them. weirdest thing!! I am not one who can eat eggs plain, so I'd add a little veg, cheese, and/or meat to them and it was very doable to have them everyday. My husband eats them every single day, 6-8 eggs or more if I make more and he never has any issues. Anyway, being a busy mom, eggs were the perfectly quick breakfast item to make for the whole family, but after weeding everything out, I in fact can no longer tolerate them. This gives me hope for a nice savory breakfast!! Have you ever tried freezing the biscuits and gravy into portions (separately of course). This would be excellent to have for a quick reheated breakfast and im wondering if you or anyone else has tried freezing this recipe. Thanks again!

I made this! OMG! You are one of my keto heroes. Thank you so much!
I didn't drain the sausage fat, since I am on keto, and added some coconut oil but otherwise kept the recipe the same. Soooo good. My husband who is slim and eats pretty high carb (it's how he has always been able to eat. Jerk!) begged me for some, then raved about what a good cook his wife is. He didn't even notice the difference between this and "normal" biscuits and gravy with flour in it.

I'm going to give this one a try. I lost a lot of weight when I was on a low carb diet, but my love for biscuits and gravy is just too much. I've been watching your videos for a long time and just realized that you're from Bealeton. I grew up near there and my parents still live by Kelly's Ford, just on the other side of Sumerduck. Small world.

Looks totally amazing, Larry! If I can get real sausage gravy out of it, I don't think I'll complain much about missing carbs. I'm still in culture shock over the cost of that almond flour for the biscuits, though. There's gotta be a more affordable source.

Dayem, Wolfie! :-0 Lord have mercy! Once again, I would NEVER have thought you could make a classic comfort food like "biscuits & gravy" in a "low carb" version . . . <whew-wEEE> Very impressive job, my friend 😉 Thumbs way up for you as always, and wishing you continued success, your good buddy, Norfolk Joe 🙂
