Why I've never got an idea to add some bbq rub to my popcorn? Chef Tom can even cook popcorn on a different level :o.
Looks good but I’d have liked to see you smoke clarified butter. Regular butter on popcorn sogs it out, clarified is much better because it’s pure fat.
I used Rendered Duck Fat with plain Popcorn Salt and it was pretty darn tasty… 🦆🦆🦆

Browned butter tastes better than regular butter. You don't need anything else if your butter is salted.

When my son was about 11 years old he entered a Jaycee Relay Race. He’d never ran track before and didn’t know everybody wore shorts. He came in jeans, to everyone’s amusement. He ran the last leg for his team – and came away the fastest runner of the day, and made up considerable distance to win. This video made me think of that day. How I wish I had been able to see it, instead of only hear and read about it. I was a single mom and had to work. My son was an amazing athlete. ❤️

Great recipe! I’ve been discouraged by the recent spate of recipes that might as well be done in the kitchen. I love to see traditional recipes that have been adapted to the grill that truly benefit from outdoor cooking, especially smoking.

At home I like to microwave popcorn but pour a combo of several different fats. Sometimes it's butter and olive oil, it could be butter and garlic infused olive oil (via garlic confit), bacon grease and even beef tallow from burgers and brisket.
