That was a perfectly acceptable rare steak. It had a visible cooked ring around it. Unless you've cooked on a broiler in a restaurant you might not know what temp is what. I've had customers request med rare steaks, then demand longer cooked time resulting in well done meat and they called that med rare.

I grew up in the mid 80's with Metallica,Anthrax, etc. I noticed they have used lots of different background music in their videos. I think they just want to be flexible. I'll have to check out google t.v.

@beezelbub For the most part you are right about eating food rare, but I encourage you to develop a relationship with a someone who raises chicken and/or pigs. This will allow you much more leeway when you prepare your food. I've had Yakitori in Japan and the reataurant owner raised and slaughtered his own chickens. I ate some amazing mid-rare chicken that day and it was superb and…healthy. If you can get your pork in a similar fashion, you shouldn't have problems.

usually the pit boys supply ideas for a great meal. But this one kind of put me off a little. Its just too raw. The thought of biting through the still white stringy fat is just a put off.

lots like it this way though so each to their own.

If everyone liked steak the same they wouldn’t ask “how would you like it done?” at the restaurants’, you’d eat what your given. Personally anyone that likes steak cooked anymore than that is destroying it.
