HOW TO BACON CHEESEBURGER SMASHBURGERS
______________________________________________________________

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

80/20 Ground Beef
Salt and Pepper to season
Thick Cut Bacon
Brioche Bun
Sautéed Onions
Lettuce
Tomato
Ammo Box Hot Sauce – https://www.facebook.com/AmmoBoxHotsauce/

METHOD:

Step #1
To start off prepare your Bacon Cheeseburgers start by forming your ground beef into 2 inch balls. Next, apply your salt and pepper to the outside to season your beef. Once that’s done go ahead and get your grill set up for cooking by adding a 1/2 basket of fully lit briquettes into the Slow ‘N Sear with the water reservoir removed for a larger heat zone. Next place the Drip ‘N Griddle over the coal and let it heat up for a minute or so.

Step #2
Once the griddle is heated apply some oil, you should see it smoke but you don’t want it to burn. Place your beef balls onto the griddle and firmly press down using a sturdy spatula and sheet of parchment paper. Press down for about 10 seconds and to abotu 1/4 inch in thickness. Next apply your bacon and begin to cook it up to your desired crispiness.

Step #3
Half way through, flip the burgers over. You will see that is should have a nicely formed crust on the burger. This will add a lot of flavour. Once flipped add your cheddar cheese and allow it to melt. Once your cheese has melted and your bacon is done pull it off the grill and build your burger.

Step #4
To build your burger, start with a toasted bun and add mayo followed by two burger patties, sautéed onions, bacon strips, tomato, lettuce and followed by some hot sauce. Top your burger with the bun and your ready to feast!.

Enjoy.

Great video. Did you do the whole cook without the lid? I have been using an Akorn Kamado for the last 5 years so am used to always having the lid closed. Just bought my first Weber and SnS and DnG a few months ago and loving it.

Looks good but the burger patty should never go straight on the bun without the lettuce underneath it. That way the bun doesn't get all wet/soggy from the patty grease and won't fall apart as you're eating it. Sadly many fast food places make this mistake…
